CalorLab is run by a handful of people, so an emailed message lands with someone who can act on it. Mention the tool and what you expected, and the reply will be specific rather than a canned response.
The tool behind this page is CalorLab, a daily calorie calculator. Questions usually involve recalculating after a change in training volume or a number that came out differently than expected, and both are useful to hear about.
Everything comes to support@calorlab.com. Expect an answer in one or two working days.
What to tell us
- The name of the tool and, if you have it, the page URL.
- What you entered — for CalorLab that is usually your body measurements and activity level — rounded is fine, since we only need to repeat the arithmetic.
- What the result should have been, and what it was instead.
- Your operating system and browser, if it is a display issue.
Anything concerning checking whether a maintenance estimate is realistic is easier to answer when you include the page address, so we can look at the same tool you did.
If a result looks wrong
For a health and body-composition tool, accuracy is the whole point. Because the CalorLab tool works the way described on its own page — it multiplies your BMR by an activity factor between 1.2 and 1.9, then applies a deficit or surplus of roughly 500 calories per day for about a pound of change per week — a wrong answer almost always traces back to one assumption, an input that does not fit the model, or a rounding edge case. If you think you have found one, tell us the value you expected and which tool you used, and we will check it against the method.
